Secretary-General at Pyeongchang OlympicsAntónio Guterres, Secretary-General (SG) of the United Nations, travelled the Republic of Korea (ROK) from February 7-10, 2018 in order to attend the opening ceremony of the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games. As the designated focal point of UN Agencies in the ROK, UNPOG coordinated with the Office of the UN Secretary-General and the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to prepare the SG's visit to the ROK. - Steering Committee Meeting: Finalizing the Work PlanEach year, UNPOG presents its activities for review to the Steering Committee, which is composed of representatives from UN DESA and the MOIS, as well as the Head of UNPOG. Head of UNPOG Mr. Chung Chae-Gun and Associate Research and Policy Development Expert Ms. Park Mi Kyoung traveled to New York for this year's meeting, with Mr. Chung presenting UNPOG's 2018 Work Plan.
