Implementing the SDGs: Toolkit for Women’s Empowerment
UN ESCAP, UN DESA and the Permanent Mission of the ROK to the UN organised a high-level side event during the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women to launch the “E-Government for Women’s Empowerment in Asia and the Pacific” toolkit. As the first region-wide toolbox to support the gender-mainstreaming of e-government, the toolkit contains 5 comprehensive modules with key guidelines for policymakers on gender-responsive design of e-service delivery, e-participation and connectivity initiatives, and introduces a capabilities-based approach to outcome evaluations of e-government for women’s empowerment.
