The UN Public Service Forum, Day and AwardsThe United Nations Public Service Forum, Day and Awards (UNPSA) celebrates the value and virtue of public service and highlights remarkable contributions in enhancing the role, prestige and visibility of public service. The event was initiated for the first time in 2003 in New York along with "UN Public Service Day," and has been held annually on June 23rd for the past 16 years in different countries around the world. UNPOG organized two workshops during the forum, titled "Governance of the future: challenges, opportunities and new frontier issues" and "Governance to localize the SDGs" respectively...

It's my great pleasure to deliver the welcoming message for the 2nd UNPOG Public Governance Quarterly Newsletter.As we have settled into our new office in Songdo, Incheon, we have focused on building connections with local communities, expanding our network, and collaborating with other international organizations and governments in the Asia-Pacific and Eastern Africa. In this issue, I would like to highlight the ways in which UNPOG has worked to promote partnerships with key stakeholders for fulfilling the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. One good case is, when I delivered a lecture to future public administration officials at the sub-national level, I emphasized the need to work in collaboration to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) instead of working....More
