On 6 and 11 December 2018, two UNPOG staffs respectively delivered two special lectures to 42 Shinhyun Girls Middle School students and 17 Cheongcheon Middle School students in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The special lectures are part of the “Dream Road Initiative” led by the Ministry of Education through the Incheon Metropolitan City to expose primary and secondary school students to various career options. The special lectures encompassed an overview of the United Nations, youth engagement in achieving the SDGs, and working in the UN. These two lectures provided a good opportunity for UN DESA/UNPOG to raise awareness among the youth on the UN work in general, and the SDGs in particular.
