The 12th National Assembly UN SDGs Forum 

 

 

On 5 December 2018, the Head of UNPOG was invited to speak at the 12th National Assembly UN SDGs Forum, which was co-hosted by the National Assembly of Republic of Korea and the Korean Association for Supporting SDGs for the UN (ASD). The National Assembly UN SDGs Forum was established in 2014 by 43 representatives from all parties. It is a consultative group of congressional leaders, and the forum has engaged in diverse congressional activities related to the SDGs including convening regular forums and campaigns for the SDGs. 

 

At the forum, Mr. Chung delivered a special lecture highlighting the role of the National Assembly and the private sector in SDG implementation and localization of the 2030 Agenda. The forum was attended by 70 participants representing the National Assembly, government agencies, private sector, civil society and the academia.
