The Chinese Version Launch of UN E-Government Survey 2018
The Chinese version of the United Nations E-Government Survey 2018 was jointly launched by the Central Party School and the UN DESA on September 21, 2018 in Beijing, China.
During the launching ceremony, Mr. Chung Chae Gun delivered congratulatory remarks on “Developing regional partnerships for advancing digital government to achieve 2030 Agenda.” Mr. Chung introduced UNPOG's work towards advancing digital government in the region and collaboration with the E-Government Research Center of the Central Party School.
This year is the 4th time that the Central Party School and UN DESA jointly issued the Chinese version of the Survey, with the overarching theme of gearing e-government to support transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies. It assesses the national e-Government development level of 193 countries based on three dimensions: telecommunication infrastructure, human resources to promote and use information and communication technologies, and online service availability using the E-Government Development Index (EGDI).
