Case Study on Localizing SDGs in Local Government
As the Korean government is a exemplary leader in spreading the best practices of public administration, UNPOG launched a case study on “Korean Local Governments' Effective Strategies for Supporting Developing Countries to Achieve Localizing the SDGs,” with the supports from the Ministry of Interior and Safety of Korea (MOIS). The research focuses on the localization in the framework of SDG implementation, and engages local stakeholders in the collection of status, data, and best practices from the local level in Korea. The research is based on first-hand information, collected by MOIS networks around the Korean local governments in cooperation with the Korea Development Institute (KDI). The research is scheduled to be published in December 2018.
