UNPOG has been making great efforts to localize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its host country, the Republic of Korea. Mr. CHUNG Chae Gun, Head of UNPOG, gave a special lecture on UNPOG and the SDGs to 28 Korean local government officials who participated in the 'The Global Leader Course' at the Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI).
Mr. Chung also visited Jeollanamdo Provincial Government and addressed to provincial government officials on their roles in implementing the SDGs in the Fourth Industrial Revolution age. UNPOG hopes that the Korean local governments will also make a significant contribution to the achievement of the SDGs when they go back to their work places after the course.
