UNPOG/DPIDG met with Mr. Alessandro Attolico, Head of Regional Planning, Digital Transition, and Resilience of the Province of Potenza, Italy, to explore potential collaboration on strengthening local public governance and contributing to the 9th Regional Symposium organized by UN DESA this September. Potenza is actively advancing the localization of DRR through South-South and triangular cooperation, as well as peer-to-peer exchange. During the meeting, Mr. Attolico shared valuable practices on integrating environmental, infrastructural, social, and cultural dimensions to support sustainable and resilient territorial development. He highlighted the importance of multilevel governance and inclusive citizen participation. As a resilient hub, Potenza is positioning itself as a living laboratory for operational experimentation, aiming to integrate innovative projects and foster global partnerships.
