Mr. Wu Hongbo, Under-Secretary-General of United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), visited UNPOG on 17 October, 2013. Head of UNPOG, Amb. Lim delivered his welcoming remarks, followed by brief presentation on the past and on-going activities of UNPOG. After conveying his heartfelt congratulations on Amb. Lim’s new appointment, USG Mr. Wu provided guidance for the future direction of UNPOG by emphasizing the importance of good governance in sustainable development and post-2015 Global Development Agenda; elaborating UNPOG’s key objectives to provide enablers for sustainable development; and encouraging UNPOG’s staff to actively move forward.
