UNPOG’s Head, Amb. Lim participated in 2014 steering committee, which was held in Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM), UNDESA, New York, on 7 February 2014. Attended by members of the committee from UNPOG, DPADM, and Ministry of Security and Public Administration (MOSPA), Republic of Korea, the meeting reviewed 2013 major activities of UNPOG and discussed on how to implement its future projects more efficiently.

In particular, Mr. Lim during his presentation highlighted his vision and action plan to extend cooperation network into other international organisations such as UNESCAP, ITU, UNDP and so on. This approach drew strong support from the members, being regarded as an efficient means of utilising expertise of different organisations as well as increasing funding opportunities. There were also presentations on 2014 UN Public Service Awards and Forum from DPADM, and subsequent in-depth discussions were followed. Members expressed their continued commitment and support to successful operation of UNPOG this year.
