The 13th session of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration April 09, 2014
UNPOG’s Head, Amb. Lim attended the 13th session of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA), which was held at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 7 to 11 April 2014.
 
The UNCEPA, established by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in its resolution 2001/45, is comprised of 24 members who meet annually at UN Headquarters in New York. The Committee is responsible for supporting the work of ECOSOC concerning the promotion and development of public administration and governance among Member States, in connection with the UN Millennium Development Goals. 
 
The annual CEPA meeting focuses on Transforming Public Administration for Sustainable Development, with three sub-themes:
 
(1) Strengthening national and local capacities for sustainable development management; 
(2) Promoting leadership, innovation and risk management for sustainable development; and
(3) Invigorating the professionalism and morale of the public service: Bringing the Public Back into Public Administration.
 
Amb. Lim made a presentation before CEPA members with a systemic review of UNPOG’s programmes, activities and the way forward on 8 April under Agenda Item 4 Review of the United Nations Programme on Public administration and Finance.
 
During the CEPA meeting, Amb. Lim also consulted with CEPA members seeking their advice and support on UNPOG's future activities.
