On 2-3 November, UNPOG participated in the International Seminar on Data Stewardship and the Secure Sharing of Data, which was co-organized by UN Statistics Division and Statistics Korea. The Head of UNPOG participated in the Panel Discussion and introduced: i) the mandates of DPIDG/UNPOG, ii) the perspective on digital data governance in the context of accelerating digital transformation, iii) the relationship between digital data governance and national digital agenda, iv) the suggested areas that a national statistical office (NSO) can do better or do more in the coming years, considering the changing role of the national statistical office (NSO). During the Session II on Data Stewardship in Times of Crisis, one UNPOG staff delivered a presentation on a Holistic and Whole-of-Government Approach to Digital Data Governance and highlighted the key issues of digital data governance in times of emergencies with policy recommendations.
