On 1 March 2023, DPIDG/UNPOG had a meeting with NASLA to discuss the plan of action for producing training materials to be used in the Training-of-Trainers (ToT) for the sub-national administration. As committed during the ToT Workshop on Effective National to Local Public Governance for SDG Implementation in Cambodia, organised in 2022, NASLA is planning to organise the first national training workshop during the latter part of the year with the UN DESA Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs adapted to the Cambodian context. The objectives of the training workshop will include i) providing space for learning and exchanging experience and good practices to raise awareness and advocacy among local actors in the Cambodian SDG ownership and localisation process, ii) enhancing of governance capacity, and iii) strengthening of public servants' awareness of their active roles in achieving the Cambodian SDGs (CSDGs).

 

UNPOG will continue to support NASLA in their efforts to prepare and organise the training workshop.
