National Seminar on Effective Governance for Implementing Sustainable Development in Mongolia (13 October 2023, Online)

DPIDG/UNPOG participated in the National Seminar on Effective Governance for Implementing Sustainable Development in Mongolia, organized by National Academy of Governance (NAOG) of Mongolia. The event was organized as a follow-up to the National Workshop on "Effective Governance for Sustainable Development of Mongolia", organised by UNPOG and DPIDG, UN RCO in Mongolia, National Academy of Governance (NAOG), and MONSTAME - the National News Agency of the Government of Mongolia in June 2023. In the seminar, the execution of the Action Plan that participants had developed was discussed. They identified problems and jointly sought ways to solve them. Representatives from the Office of the President of Mongolia, the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government, the Ministries of Government, the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Mongolia, and the National Academy of Governance participated in the seminar.
The purpose of this National Seminar was to provide these officials with a comprehensive overview of the workshop discussions, allowing them to offer valuable feedback and guidance regarding the government's strategic direction for implementing the proposed actions. This session was expected to achieve a significant impact by securing government ownership at the highest level. The event also helped promote the 7th Regional Symposium on Effective Governance and Digital Transformation for Accelerating Progress towards the 2030 Agenda.
