UNPOG Special Meeting at 2013 UNPSA

With instructions from e-Government Branch, UNPOG organised the Special Meeting titled Essential Leadership Capacities and Actions for Transformational Government on the 4th day of the PSA Forum (Thursday, 27 June 2013). 22 experts including 3 ministerial level participants from Commonwealth of Independent States, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Austria, Seychelles, China and Korea, attended the meeting and each delegation presented the country's e-Government status and roles of leadership to upgrade e-Government into transformational government (t-Government). Following the presentations, discussion was made on problems and challenges of leadership, solutions on leadership, and global cooperation for t-Government. Recommendation and findings were presented in the closing plenary session along with other rapporteurs representing each parallel capacity development workshop.

Structure
- UNPOG will request each participant to provide a small paper on the country’s e-Government progress ahead of the Meeting.
- The chairperson will invite each participant to deliver presentation based on country’s papers and moderate the session through asking questions on three topics such as current status and challenges of leadership for transformational governance, recommended solutions and importance of global cooperation in accelerating innovations.
